1. Purpose and Mission

The primary purpose of the Hope In Christ Community Prayer Line is to pray in alignment with biblical teachings, lifting up requests, and offering spiritual encouragement to callers.
All interactions are to be rooted in a sincere commitment to sharing the love, compassion, and hope found in Christ.

2. Confidentiality and Respect

Prayer line volunteers are expected to handle all prayer requests with strict confidentiality. Information shared by callers will not be disclosed without permission unless legally required.
Volunteers must treat each caller with respect, patience, and compassion, honoring the dignity and privacy of all individuals.

3. Biblical and Theological Foundation

All prayers and guidance provided should reflect the values and principles found in Scripture.
Volunteers should refrain from offering advice or opinions that conflict with biblical teachings.

4. Volunteer Conduct

Volunteers are to conduct themselves with integrity, humility, and a servant's heart, reflecting Christ in their words and actions.
Personal opinions or beliefs that deviate from the mission of Hope In Christ Community Prayer Line should be kept private to ensure the unity and spiritual focus of the service.

5. No Solicitation or Personal Promotion

The prayer line is a non-commercial, ministry-driven service. Volunteers and callers are prohibited from using this platform for personal or financial gain.
Soliciting donations, promoting businesses, or sharing personal advertisements is not permitted.

6. Commitment to Availability and Consistency

Volunteers should adhere to scheduled shifts and maintain a consistent presence. In the event of an absence, volunteers should notify the appropriate coordinator promptly.
The prayer line aims to be available for callers during established hours, so timely attendance and commitment are essential.

7. Respectful Dialogue and Disagreement

If disagreements arise among volunteers or with callers, all discussions must remain respectful, calm, and focused on finding common ground through faith.
Volunteers should avoid divisive topics or theological debates during calls and instead guide the conversation back to prayer and spiritual encouragement.

8. Training and Spiritual Growth

All volunteers are encouraged to participate in regular training sessions and spiritual growth opportunities provided by the prayer line leadership.
Volunteers should remain open to ongoing learning and seek to deepen their understanding of prayer and pastoral care.

9. Accountability and Feedback

Feedback from volunteers and callers is valued as a means of improving the prayer line’s ministry.
Volunteers are accountable to leadership and may receive guidance or correction as needed to uphold the mission and integrity of the service.

Prayer helps partners reconnect emotionally, spiritually, and even physically by fostering understanding, forgiveness, and unity. Administrative Role: Follow up with individuals who need one-on-one support, track prayer requests, and check in with participants after sessions.
Spiritual Role: Offer pastoral care, one-on-one prayer, and guidance to individuals needing additional support beyond the prayer sessions.

Using prayer to help those hurt by the church Prayer allows us to intercede on their behalf, seeking healing for wounds inflicted by others' misuse of faith. It invites the Spirit to restore trust, rebuild their sense of worth, and renew their relationship with God—not based on the failings of people but on His unchanging love. Through prayer, we remind them that God's grace is greater than human error, and His arms remain open, even when others have pushed them away.
